In answer to a club members question on Cathedral Pine Road.

   Before August 2023 the town of Townsend had ordinance #01-2018 and #07-2013 which listed which town roads were not open to ATV travel. Both Cathedral pines and Brooks Lane were listed. These docs. are still up on the town website under ordinances. In August 2025 red arrow sat in the town meeting and had gotten Cathedral pine removed from the list. See page 2 of attachment. When the updated ordinance was put on the website, they were back on. I challenged the town clerk how this happened. When she opened the meeting notes we were surprised to see no documentation. With several town members (not board members) I was told the resident on little Archibald Road were mad at ATV’s trespassing on their private road. When I asked for the signage to be moved to the entrench of little Archibald rd. it went nowhere. As the trail boss for the red arrow club, I would sure like to see these remaining roads removed from the ordinance. Our DNR officer Jamin has contacted me a number of times because of stopping ATVs on those roads. Someone in the town has a lot more pull than our club. Sorry
