Red Arrow Bonfire in the Woods was Saturday January 16th
Club President Gary Wagner, club members and their guests gathered at the Red Arrow Groomer Building at 10AM for a two hour ride before getting to the Bonfire. It was held at location 641 just off of Pickeral Lake Road. Board member Dave Hinkins was ready and waiting with a bonfire, hot dogs and hot chocolate. A good number of club members and guests were already busy roasting wieners over the fire. It was a great social event as many riders stopped by to say hello and enjoy the fire, food and chocolate.

Annual Christmas Party was well attended and all had a great time!!
Saturday January 9th, 206 was our annual Red Arrow Christmas Party. Waubee Lake Lodge. Just over 100 members and guests were treated to a 2 drink cocktail hour courtesy of the club followed by dinner. As usual the Waubee buffet was assume with meat choices of chicken and tenderloin tips and all the fixings. The room still had its Christmas Tree and lots of other Holiday themed decorations. The party was preceded by our January membership meeting. We held it prior to the party so that out of town members would get a chance to attend. At the end of the meeting club President led everyone in a “snow dance” to help get the riding season going.
9th Annual Red Arrow Corn Roast & ATV/UTV Parade
was a huge success despite near 90 degree weather and high humidity!
Saturday of Labor Day weekend was a great day in Townsend! At 10:30 95 ATVs & UTVs lined up at Townsend Shell to parade north. Bystanders counted well over 150 people taking part as many UTVs had 3 or 4 people on board. The parade headed to Barb’s Valley Inn to help kick off the 9th Annual Corn Roast sponsored by Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club and Barb’s Valley Inn. They were led by Grand Marshall Jim Weyers former Red Arrow Club treasurer and longtime club member. Jim was one of a handful of people who worked with the former Town of Townsend Chairperson Sue Rapp in 2005 to make town roads legal. This action opened the door to many trail and route connections thru the northern part of Oconto County.
Despite the high heat and humidity a huge crowd gathered as the parade arrived. They spent the summer afternoon and evening under a huge tent enjoying meat raffles, DJ music and lots of good food and free sweet corn. At 6PM the raffles were concluded and winners were drawn for the main raffle prizes.

Also thanks to Rob & Kim Seebers of Townsend Shell for helping organize the parade, and the Townsend Flowage Association for the use of their equipment.

Red Arrow can’t thank them enough for their support of this event and their yearlong support of the club. Look for the bar with the snowmobile (and now ATV) on the roof just north of Townsend. A very nice event profit will help the Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club maintain their record of having some of the finest snowmobile and ATV trails in this part of the state.
4th of July Parade was a great way for Red Arrow to show off our
New Tucker Groomer !!!

Club Vice-President Larry Market drove our John Deere in the parade. He was having a little fun wearing a helmet to the delight of the huge crowd.

Our John Deere came decorated with a huge eagle attached to the dirt bucket on the front of the machine.

The highlight of the Red Arrow parade entry was the debut of our new Tucker Snowmobile Trail Groomer. Driving it in the parade is Gary Wagner, Red Arrow President and his wife Sandy is along for the ride. Sandy is the club Membership Secretary. The Tucker cost over 200,000.00. That is a lot of Corn Roasts and Fish A Rees. Thanks to all the members and those in the community who support our fundraising efforts.
