The new 2019-2021 Oconto County snowmobile trail maps have been published. They are available in PDF format on our trail map page or in paper form at local trail stops.


Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club and Paul Bunyan Riders Snowmobile Club graduate 31 DNR Snowmobile Safety Course Students

Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club and Paul Bunyan Riders Snowmobile Club held a DNR Snowmobile Safety Course on November 9th. The event was held at the Red Arrow Clubhouse and attracted students of all ages. Lead Instructor Larry Westphal and Instructors Carl Christensen, Brian Fitzpatrick and Diane Fitzpatrick led the course and were very pleased with the attention of the students. DNR Conservation Warden Jamin Leuzzo and Oconto County Recreation Officer Jim Plotkin spoke to the class about regulations and safety issues.

Students pose for a group photo during the DNR Snowmobile Safety Course held at the Red Arrow Clubhouse in Townsend on November 9th. Thirty-one students of all ages graduated from the course.

The students passing the exam and receiving their riding certification were Brooklyn Badendick, Tyler Bell, Nicole Bodart, Spencer Conlon, Bobby Dahlke, Jaxson Ducharme, Charles Elliot, Ryder Ferron, Mark Geffers, Peter Glynn, Sawyer Glynn, Jayden Gordon, Quinnton Gostnell, Kaylnn Gracyalny, Michele Herzog, Christopher Holsbach, Anthony Holsbach, Trevor Metzler, Madison Mielke, Cadon Mielke, Aidan Monahan, Rylee Oconner, Preston Peterson, Ashley Peterson, Parker Peterson, Jordin Popp, Logan Reader, Elijah Schoepp, Brett Schott, Colin Senkpeil, and Eva Stankewicz.

Anyone born after January 1st, 1985 must complete the course to ride a snowmobile legally in Wisconsin. Those under the age of 16 must attend and complete a Safety Class in person, there is no online option.

Red Arrow Snowmobile/ATV Club*Meeting & Event Calendar

Club Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month from October thru March

Watch the website and Facebook for time and locations!!

Wednesday Trail Rides!!  Riders meet on Wednesday mornings at 9AM at the Shell station in Townsend. The rides are open to the public.  We ride to a destination for lunch and return to Townsend by mid afternoon.  The rides are geared to the riding abilities of the people that show up.   The rides are held only when the trails are officially open both-summer and winter.

December/January – Watch the club website(Trail Reports Page) and the Red Arrow Facebook page for Snowmobile Trail Opening date and trail conditions. Trail opening is corridinated with the permission of the U.S. Forest Service and Oconto County Parks and Recretation.  The trail report page is updated daily during the snow season.

February 12, 2020 Membership meeting will be held at Hillcrest Lodge Inn at 7PM.  Come early and enjoy supper with fellow club members.

February 15, 2020  45th Annual Red Arrow Fish A Ree, 11AM to 7PM at the Townsend Town Hall. Food, meat raffles, beverages, club clothing sales and music.  Fish contest winners announced at 5:30.  Big ticket raffle drawing at 7PM.

March 11, 2020  Membership meeting will be held at My Bar at 7PM.  Frozen pizzas will be available for supper. Come early and enjoy fellowship with other club members.

March 28, 2020     6th Annual  Red Arrow dinner show. Let Me Be Frank Productions will once again be deliting the audience with one of his original musical/plays-Rahr’s Beer-Titletown USA.   Please watch website and facebook for more details or call Sandy at 920-960-9794.

April 25, 2020  Red Arrow annual membership meeting, 9AM at the Townsend Town Hall(across from the post office).  Elections for officers are held at this meeting.  Other highlights-guest speakers and updates on trails, club business and news of upcoming events.

April 25, 2020  ATV/UTV trails will open for the season only if trail conditions allow.  Trail opening is coordinated with the permission of the U.S. Forest Service and Oconto County Parks and Recretation.  Please watch the club website and facebook page for further information.

June 6, 2020  Red Arrow is invited by Old Town Hall Bar and Restaurant to hold a meat raffle and trail ride at their annual family fun Pig Roast.  Spring trail ride leaves at 9:30 from the Restaurant.  Meat spin from 2 to 6. Come early so you don’t miss the fun!

July 4, 2020   Red Arrow participates in the Townsend 4th of July Parade.  Meet at the clubhouse at 9AM that morning to help decorate the groomers and your machines.  We leave to line up for the parade at approx. 10:30. Please watch our website for updates.

September 5, 2020  14th Annual Red Arrow Corn Roast held under the big tent at the Old Town Hall Bar and Restaurant in Townsend.  ATV/UTV Parade at 10:30 from the clubhouse (16712 Hummingbird Hill Lane) riding to the event at the Old Town Hall.  Meat spins, raffles, food beverages, bouncy house and free sweet corn start at 11AM. Big ticket raffle drawing at 6PM.

October 3, 2020  Red Arrow is invited by Old Town Hall Bar and Restaurant to hold a meat raffle and trail ride at their annual family fun Booyah.   Fall color trail ride leaves at 9:30 from the Restaurant.  Meat spin from 2 to 6. Come early so you don’t miss the fun and the best Booyah in the Northwoods!!
